How to form the letter S
Start near the top, curve back and around, then swing forward and around the other way. One smooth snake shape.
What to watch for
A reversed s is the most common letter reversal of all. It is normal until about six.
Words to say while tracing
Saying a word that starts with the shape, while the pencil is moving, links the letter to a sound instead of leaving it an abstract squiggle. Try sun, sock and star.
